Sunday Devotional

Sunday morning is especially good for me and my family. We are all together, and we work together. We go on missions, do mass cleanings, pull weeds and burn stuff. Little girls like to play with fire as much as boys do. It is a real-life way to preserve the family. Isn't that the evangelicals' biggest complaint, other than a woman's body, or keeping their laws in place?

Today, if you are wasting half your day at the temple, your family is most likely divided by age. This same phenomenon divides on a much larger scale than a two million dollar building full of people doing their duty every week. First off, this group cannot keep their hands out of my government. I don't want your voices heard in Washington any more, because you are irrational zealots. It's bad enough that they segregate our military based on one religion, and are called "heathens" if they don't swallow. Doesn't this violate the part of the constitution that speaks of separation of church and state? From here, it looks like the method they are using is to radicalize our troops in order to fight the radicals in the Middle East. Fight fire with fire. I hesitate to link to this site, but it gives a thorough perspective on the stinch of religion. It is a "Progressive" news site, but there is no bias in the video.

My devotional for today is to renounce your church habit, and do what your book tells you to do. There are enough addicts out there who need real help; I doubt that the person sitting next to you every week needs your help, even though they are addicted to a fictional utopia. Go touch humanity today, whether it be your family, or a hungry child. Go where your savior went, by himself, and make a difference without preaching a "better way". Religion is not the answer to our problems. Loving the people you are taught to shun is. Read the Qur'an. Read anything. Your preacher is out of new ideas to feed you. If he is weaving politics into his sermons, run as fast as you can. Television is a far more entertaining way to be programmed.

Happy Sunday. Try not to waste it on another man's agenda. And for the love of everything good and pure, stay out of politics; it only proves the case that your agenda is full of hate and ignorance. Thank you in advance.

Representation 101

On April 19, 2013 I wrote my U.S. Representative, Jo Bonner (R) a letter containing questions about CISPA (H.R. 624). I generally expect to recieve a form letter in return for my thoughts, but this time I got something a little better. I read over the bill after it had flown through the House, and while it was still on a few American minds. U.S. vs. Iran: What are we missing?

There is constant chatter and media alarm in the US concerning Iran. As usual, we are fed the information that is not only one-sided, but is mostly a smoke bomb hiding many of the fouls that we have commited against a country that is not very different from some of our "allies" in the region. Actually, the media has made a conscious decision to ignore the facts, and keep them distorted for propaganda reasons. Iran and the US have an ugly history and today, the history has turned to a selective dismantling of a potentially great nation. Iran, and the region it was born in began around 3,200 BCE. Iran reigns as one of the oldest, major continuous civilizations. America on the other hand was established around 1776.
